How to Insert Images in Forums Posts - Intro - bbCode Basics

The ability of inserting pictures into your messages is a very nice and useful feature in bbCode, images can be displayed without the need to upload them to the site in which you post, here I must precise that only few forums allow pictures & files uploads, except for avatars maybe ..

To display an image you need two things: the tag [img] and the URL or Hyper-link of the image ..

1. How to use the [img] tag?

In a way it's similar to the use of the [url] tag, you need to wrap the URL or Hyper-link of the image.

You must know, that as each web-page or site has its own unique URL, also any image or file published in the web has a unique Hyper-link.

2. How to get images Hyper-links?

There are two methods depending on if the picture is from Internet or a personal photo on your computer .. in the first case you can use the original link of the picture, in the 2nd case, you must host your image (i.e. upload it to an "Images Host").
